Hair Transplant
Nothing hits you confidence worse then going bald at an early age. Hair transplant is essentially a type of redistribution of hair in which hair from one body site are transferred to other body which has poor density of hair.
Hair transplant is a procedure most commonly used for balding scalp but is also used for beard and eyebrows.
In case of balding scalp a person looses hair from the top portion of the head whereas the hair at the back side of the scalp remain resistant to such balding. It is from this back portion of the scalp that a hair transplant surgeon harvest the follicle ( group of hair) and implant them in the front portion or the bald area.
The whole procedure is done under local anesthesia to make it a comfortable and pain free experience.

METHODS OF HAIR TRANSPLANT
Hair transplant is essentially done by two basic techniques
- Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT)
- Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)
In FUT a thin strip of scalp skin containing hair follicles is cut out from the scalp. The scalp is then stitched back to close the wound thus created. The individual hair follicles are then harvested from this strip and implanted in the desired area.
In FUE individual hair follicles are harvested in random manner using specialised motor punch from the the back portion of the scalp. In this method no stitches are required as no large wounds are created in the scalp. The method has very less down time and is virtually painless.
We at Skinette Clinic perform all our hair transplant procedures by FUE method. It is the latest and most advanced technique of hair transplant and is the most patient friendly method. It offers certain advantages over the FUT method:
